Luminary Effects Inc. has its equipment made exclusively. We feel our fixtures are unmatched by our competitors. The thought process that goes into every design insures our clients of the very best lighting plan available today. Others try to imitate our methods, but none can duplicate the end results.
In order to control the quality of our design and installation all equipment selected is manufactured of the highest-grade ore, with little or no additives. We offer stainless steel, copper/bronze and brass and cast aluminum. Our copper and bronze systems do not corrode or rust. Our aluminum equipment is assembled and treated for corrosion and laboratory tested to prevent corrosion.
All fixtures come with glare control shields and adjustable bases. We offer tunnel shields, and several different sizes. All of our fixtures have a special elbow feature that provides almost 130 adjustment possibilities to meet every design specification. Our recess fixtures have a special shielding device that eliminates glare. Our philosophy of providing absolutely no hot spots or glaring light sources from normal viewing angles is unmatched in the industry.
Our fixtures even have the ability to cut the light on property lines to meet specific sit lighting codes.
Fixtures are also equipped with a special bug screen apparatus, which prevents the fixture from filling up with bugs. Without this special apparatus insects may accumulate around a lamp eliminating much of the light.
All landscape illumination equipment used is designed for wet locations.
All equipment has passed the rigorous tests of the Underwriters Laboratories. The equipment we use is UL or ETL listed and UL approved. Our installations meet and often exceed National Electrical Code installation criteria. Safety is our primary consideration.
The lamps we use in our fixtures are made of a special high intensity gas discharge metal. Our lamps are color corrected to better match the material being illuminated. Only lights of lesser grade and content are available at the local lighting store or electrical supply house. Most of the lamps we install last for 24,000 hours (5 years). They have a very high Kelvin rating and the lumen output is seven times that of similar equipment.
We use special parabolic reflectors in some of our equipment. These reflectors control the beam spread of light, which provides more accurate illumination on some more difficult to illuminate objects.
Our up lights when installed on the ground are attached to special high grade uni-strut to prevent gardeners and lawn mowing crews from damaging or knocking our equipment out of adjustment.
Our transformer containers are made from fiberglass and are airtight. Not only won't they corrode nor rust, but also insects (fire ants) cannot get inside this box and short out the transformer.
We provide a turnkey service to our customers. Our illumination systems are designed and then installed by Luminary Effects professionals. The equipment is camouflage painted to blend into the surroundings. All installers are employees of Luminary Effects, Inc., and are insured as well as being locally supervised.
When the installation is complete, our experienced personnel visit the site at night to ensure any final adjustments are made according to the client's wishes. The night crew consists of two to three installation personnel and one of our lighting designers/consultants.
In many cases Luminary Effects doubles the warranty provided by the manufacturers we use, and we promptly repair or replace any defective component.
